About Julie
Now, if you have a few minutes to spare, we can exhale and get a little more comfortable. You may want to go grab your cup of cozy as I talk to you as I would a friend. I think this may speak a soft, confident hope to you even more than credentials.
While I am and want to present myself as a competent professional, most times you will find me sporting a messy-bun in a faded t-shirt with a smear of chocolate smoothy on my upper lip. Yep, my norm is natural - unpolished and unfiltered. When I’m not digging into the work I love, you’ll find me digging in the garden or with my border collies hiking under a canopy of trees. I’m a simple, down to earth, middle-aged woman who turns again and again to the same truths I try to teach others.
What I hope for most is that you will hear my desire to be an advocate for you to step out of chronic illness, stress, and survival mode and into a New Leaf Life.
I am honored to be entrusted with the lives of those who come seeking a fix for their fears about their failing health or hope for a healthier future. The day we partner together on your health or healing journey, I believe what I have devoted myself to learning can add tremendous value to your life and save you lots of wasted time feeling un-well. Maybe you nearly settled for believing your issue is “just you” and you’re stuck with it? I bet it’s not, and I’d really like to help.
Let’s face it, something must be missing when most of us are feeling sick and tired, weighted and worn, unsure how we got here or what to do. Even though we are living in the “age of wellness,” if we’re honest, there’s a disconnect between what we know and what we are doing. Confusing external messages from the food and diet industry, overwhelming on-line options, and decision fatigue can leave us feeling empty, depleted, and defeated.
Internally, many of us are being put to the test in ways that feel beyond what we can bear.
A weary anxiousness has settled over everyone I know.
In our attempts to survive daily stressors, our survival response is most certainly causing long-term damage to our health. We are simply storing up sickness in our cells that will eventually erupt into undesirable health conditions: obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, auto-immune conditions, unhappy hormones, unrelenting fatigue, and the strange and surreal sense that we are losing our “self.” Anytime we suppress what our bodies are trying to tell us, we forfeit the freedom being offered to us.
You don’t have to live sick, stressed, and like you’re on the hot-mess express!
I am on a mission to help you live a resilient and vibrant life. To help you step off the unhealthy hamster wheel and into an integrated life where you feel at peace with your body and yourself. As we work to cultivate physical and mental resilience, you can reconnect with parts of you that have been numb and grow in a deeper awareness of who you are, what you want, and how to honor and truly enjoy the gift that is your life!
‘Functional’ is the future of healthcare.

I rely on functional labs to create personalized protocols to improve chronic stress-related health conditions and restore vitality and quality of life.
My approach is full-body and systems-based as well as heart-centered and comprehensive. The holistic health rebuilding programs I offer provide insights into the nature of health, disease, and the unique role of nutrition and lifestyle factors.
In today’s functional healthcare revolution, where patients are empowered to participate in their own health outcomes, I love to work with those who are ready to dig in, get a little messy, and work together to create significant and sustainable changes.
It’s been said, that functional nutrition is the “last stop.” You can stop chasing fads and quick fixes, end the cycle of trial and error, and finally learn to how help your body function at its best!
